This past Friday the Secondary School celebrated the "Greatest Day of the Year" with our middle school students being led, coached, and supported by our senior students. Olympiad truly embraces the ISY spirit and values: "take care of yourself, take care of others, and take care of this place".

This upcoming weekend ISY will celebrate our International Day. The festive event will take place from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Please join us in celebrating ISY's diversity and harmony. In addition to the flag parade and booths, we will also have student performers who will dazzle you with their talent.

Saturday also holds our High School Semi-Formal wich runs from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Yangon Sailing Club. All school rules apply at the dance.

This Week in Secondary School

Welcome back from holiday. I hope you all had a relaxing time away.

This week will be a quiet week with our Middles School students away on their WWW trips. Grade 8 departed this Monday morning while grade 6 and 7 remain on campus for a day of community building. Grades 6 and 7 will be away Tuesday through Friday. If your child is traveling on the trips and you have questions, please contact the secondary office and we will assist you. In order to ensure accurate information is relayed to parents please know that delays or changes to the original itinerary will be communicated to the parents through email.

Also note that Quarter 3 after school activities will begin on January 16, 2017.

Feedback to students regarding their Grade 11 IB course selections will begin next week. Most students were able to obtain the courses they requested. Some courses did not have enough students interested in the course so other options will need to be considered. When this occurs, an email will be sent to the parents as well as communicated with the student.
