September 28, 2018

Dear Secondary Parents,

Dress code: Over the last few weeks,  as the weather has become warmer we are having more students not follow ISY Dress code. As we are an international school it is important to be respectful of others. ISY has a basic dress code that requires the following:
  • No spaghetti strap tops for girls
  • No tank tops for boys
  • Mid-drifts should not be exposed
  • Shirts and shoes are to be worn at all times
  • Short lengths should be 3 inches in the inseam
Students who do not follow dress code will be asked to change or call home for new clothes. I am hopeful that a few reminders will address the issue.

Friday Night Lights: The High School STUCO team will be hosting a High School Dance/Games on Friday, September 28, 2018, from 6:00-8:00 PM at ISY. Entry fee is 3000 Kyats.

Ski Trip: This year, Dr. Hedger and his wife will be the chaperones for the annual ISY ski trip to Switzerland taking place between the 16th and 25th April 2019.  This trip is for Grades 3 and up.  The cost of the trip will be all-inclusive covering accommodation, meals, flights, equipment hire, and lessons.  There will be an information session regarding the trip on Tuesday, 9th October, from 5:30 - 6:30 pm in room D203.  If you are interested in finding out more please contact Swe Zin Aye at Saye@isyedu.org.
