This week marks the end of quarter two. Grades will be available late on Friday, January 25, 2019. The secondary office will be sending parents a reminder email with instructions on how to access your child's reports on PowerSchool on Friday late afternoon.
This week we will have the teams listed below traveling for competition. In celebration of their upcoming success, ISY will be having a spirit week where students dress according to the themes listed below. In addition to dressing up, the High School Student Council will be hosting lunchtime competitions to raise school spirit.
- Monday: Pajama Day
- Tuesday: Twin Day
- Wednesday: Black and Yellow Day
- Thursday: Fictional Character Day
- Friday: Dress up as a teacher Day
Traveling Teams:
- Girls Basketball Division 1 will be traveling to Singapore
- Boys Basketball Division 2 will be traveling to Kuala Lumpur
- Girls Rugby Division 1 will be traveling to Singapore
- Girls and Boys Tennis Division 1 will be traveling to Hong Kong
- AMIS MS Honor Band will be traveling to Shanghai
Mathcounts competition (Grades 6,7,8): ISY and Yangon Academy will be hosting Yangon MATHCOUNTS competition 2019 on January 26th and February 23rd. The MATHCOUNTS competition series is the longest-serving mathcounts math program from the US which provides students with the opportunity to compete in live math contests against and alongside their peers.
